Should I switch to boon?

I have been playing clarinet for 3 years and i'm not trying to be snotty, but I am the best in 8th grade. I also play piano and alto sax. My band teacher is wondering if I want to play boon. I tried it and it was fun. My embouchure needs work to get used to a double reed though. I just don't know if I should switch because I am already so good at clarinet. When I get into highschool, I might have a chance of getting into concert band in 11th grade instead of the usual 12th, but if I take up boon it could ruing the chances.... Help?
