I just saw The Strangers tonight it pisses me off that it is advertised as based on truth!?

If it is fictional they should just say, the trailer creeped me out so I probably would have still gone, but after I raced home to research it online only to be dissappointed it took some of the thrill from the movie from me, I feel duped by the director and don't even want to recommend it to anyone now.
